Title: Flex 2 interface driven by coppermine

Has anyone attempted to intergrate the two/ is it possible?

We can ofcourse use google to find more info on flex2 but it might be more usefull if you post with as much info as you have.
A search for Flex 2 does not give any threads so my guesstimate is that no one has yet done what you ask.

ah ok, well Flex 2, is in some respects a programmers Flash. It is designed to cater for creating 'Rich Internet Applications' and mashups.  I am aware that it is capable of intergrating with php backends, http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flex/articles/flex2_amfphp.html (http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flex/articles/flex2_amfphp.html), I am simply curious if anyone else has had any luck in successfully implementing this system with coppermine?

Hasn't been done. You still failed to provide a link that explains what Flex actually is, so here's an overview page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adobe_Flex

I can't see the actual benefit nor what you'd like to accomplish using this framework. The term "bridging" is (coppermine-wise) being used to describe the integration of Coppermine and another webserver-driven app that has a user management and authentification system of it's own. When bridged, Coppermine uses the authentification system of the app it has been bridged with.
From what I can see, Flex is not such an application, but a developer framework. Your question could be as well "can coppermine be bridged with ruby on rails" - the answer would be the same: your question doesn't apply in the first place.

To build a flex application like Coppermine? If I will not start from scratch then... why not? Starting from beginning will be extremely difficult. (even frame work is quite easy , features of Coppermine ... you know them everybody likes Powered by Big Coppermine Photo Gallery)

I am planing to adapt displayimage and may be all gallery menu to Flex Framework

No need, no neeeed. No one need flash to make data base connections etc...

If there is any serious php and AS3 coders I can use a couple of hands, how about it?  ;)
Flex frame work is under `Mozilla license` so consider coding in actionScript 3 in addition to this its so much similar to php in grammar.

Apart from that, I can't see your point (may be a language issue). What are you actually requesting?

I don`t have any requesting. I wanted CPM users to beware of Flex technology and if there is someone who is brave enough to adapt all CPM in to flash, I wanted to remind In my opinion
Using Flex as a frame work will be the best + easiest way to adapt CPM into flash platform for web and desktop ... that`s all.
May be I am not right. As a matter of fact now I started to wonder, If it`s possible to make such big adaptation. Is it a dream what I am trying to establish by Integrating CPM with Flex.

Right: it said that you're suppossed to consider starting a new thread. It didn't say that you must start a new thread. Basically, you were meant to judge if your reply still made sense in that thread. It does, as you refer to it. Basically, you're requesting just the same thing the original thread starter requested.

Please read my above reply thoroughly: you can't integrate Coppermine with Flex, as Flex is a developer framework, not an actual piece of code. Coppermine (as an open source project released under GNU GPL) certainly won't be bundled with a proprietary framework by a commercial company that comes with another license, nor will Adobe bundle their framework with our app.

If your actual request is to have a Flash-driven end user interface, then fine: you're welcome to come up with a custom theme that is Flash-driven - go ahead and code it, using whatever framework or editor you see fit.
