Title: Onmogelijk te plaatsen
Post by: SuzyBrigitteHeitzerSite on February 13, 2007, 11:48:38 am
Hello,

My gallery has been working fine, until about a week or 2 ago.
When I upload a picture, it says:
"Foutboodschap, onmogelijk te plaatsen."
(Error, can't upload)

I've read the sticky thread and it said you have to check the permissions.
They're all set 777, so that can't be the problem.
Does anyone know what I should do to fix this?
Thanks!

Suzy

Ok, I've done that. Now it says
"Impossible to move () to albums/userpics/10001/"

Read another topic about this and they were told to check the permissions again.
I've done that aswell, but the permissions are fine.

Ok, I've done that.
No, you haven't. The stuff you failed to read is the important bit highlighted in red. Re-read the section Nibbler refered to and do exactly as suggested.

Actual link to gallery is http://www.brigitteheitzer.nl/cpg148/, not http://www.brigitteheitzer.nl/ - don't make us search around.

You're using cpg1.4.8 - it's mandatory to upgrade to the most recent stable version (currently cpg1.4.10).

The test user account doesn't work - review the details you posted.

That should work.

"When asking for support on the coppermine forum, post a link to your site."

And I'll upgrade to the most recent version, maybe that will help.

Do so, then reply to this thread, saying that you have done so. There's no use looking into this for an outdated version.

Ok I hopefully upgraded the gallery. Tried to upload a picture, but it said that there's no file to upload:

Er is geen bestand geupload !
Indien je echt een bestand geselecteerd hebt om te uploaden, controleer of de server bestands-upload toestaat...
Bestand: /usr/home/c3698mxx/domains/brigitteheitzer.nl/public_html/cpg148/db_input.php - Regel: 311

Test user account you posted above doesn't work for me, please check. Actual gallery URL is http://www.brigitteheitzer.nl/cpg148/
Post error messages in English (by temporarily accessing your page using the link http://www.brigitteheitzer.nl/cpg148/?lang=english and http://www.brigitteheitzer.nl/cpg148/?lang=xxx to switch back to your language), not all supporters speak Dutch.

No file was uploaded !

If you have really selected a file to upload, check that the server allows file uploads...

File: /usr/home/c3698mxx/domains/brigitteheitzer.nl/public_html/cpg148/db_input.php - Line: 311

And the test user account:

Does the server allow uploads? Take a look at PHPINFO.

As far as I know, I think it does allow uploads. At least it says Uploads ... On

No, you're not. Troubleshooting section clearly says not to post debug_output unless a supporter explicitely requests it.

It might just have something to do with silly safe mode being enabled.
In the docs at 2.4 it is mentioned as following:

Quote
2.4 Safe mode issues

A significant number of webhosts on the Internet run PHP in safe mode. Coppermine runs without any problem in safe mode and with the "open basedir restriction" active, provided safe mode is properly configured. Unfortunately, on many hosts, safe mode is not configured properly.

If your webhost is running PHP in safe mode but is misconfigured, you may need to do the following :

    * With a FTP program, change the mode of Coppermine's "include" directory on your server to 0777.
    * Do the same for the "albums" and "userpics" directories.
    * Check that at the beginning the the "include/config.inc.php" file, you have a line with : "define('SILLY_SAFE_MODE', 1);"

Try these steps to see if you can get it to work.

Ok, I'll try that now. Thanks, Hein  :)
