Title: can i create a separate "latest image(s)" page?

hi, i'm trying to figure out if i can create a separate page so i can show only the latest 1 (or more) images added to my gallery.  i'm specifically interested in putting the most recent images on my homepage.  i've tried searching the forum for this type of hack(?) but i haven't found anything yet.  thanks in advance for any insight.
