Title: Coppermine to IPGallery converter
Post by: yacenty on December 28, 2006, 08:52:56 am
Hi guys,
do You know if there is easy possibility to transfer my gallery from coppermine to ipgallery?
I would like to have full integration with IPB, and of course faster engine - yesterday I've noticed that showing main page of my gallery requires 68 mysql queries - thats too much, I know why my previous provider cancelled my contract. Thats crazy.
Do You have any idea how to move now to the IPGallery?

Best regards,
YacentY

So you're asking if we have a converter from the app we provide to another app :D? I don't think that people on this board will have a solution for you :-X. Search the forum of the app you're moving to or google for a solution.

I'm asking in few places because I'm not 100% sure to change the gallery but this is one of the ideas.
When I saw 68 queries for main page it was really crazy!!

Best regards,

The more content you put on main page, more queries will be executed. Try to change the " The content of the main page" from config and see the number of queries.

Yacenty already has a thread about query reduction: "mysql usage is terrible, how to improve? (http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=38458.0)". He has already been told what to do to improve mySQL performance, but apparently failed to heed the advice. Ranting on yet another thread is useless. Let's stick to the original question in this thread: no, there is no converter from Coppermine to FooBarWhateverApp that we're aware off. Marking thread accordingly.
