Title: need plugin so members can send private messages to each other

Hey. Am looking for a cpg plugin (or mod) to enable members (and only members who wish to participate) to send private messages to each other.  Each member would have their list of the messages in their own inbox, and could then select and reply. All this without using email of course. Once you were logged on, clicking on another member's photo would give you the option of sending them a new message (if that member was participating, or maybe even group enabled). The administrator or moderator could send new members a message welcoming them, etc. I don't want or need a bulletin board or forum, just private messages completely integrated within cpg. Any ideas? Surely not a first time request but I can't find anything!

Another option would be bridging with a BBS - most BBS have personal messages as a core feature.

Thanks. Fantastic effort by Stramm on the modpac. Loaded up the modpac on a fresh image on my test server. Needed to rework my themes and settings somewhat, but the classic theme worked straight off.  Then tested with with my other mods and plugins and looks sweet. It's what I needed. After reworking some themes images, diligent backups and care, have now loaded it on the production server. The only thing I've taken out is the Group Permissions mod. 8)
