Title: Limiting what languages are available
Post by: drkestrel on October 18, 2006, 01:40:39 pm
Is it possible to limit what languages are available (to only English, Traditional and simplified Chinese) (without hacking around the codes too muh)?

If so, how?

I am using latest version 1.4.9 of coppermine.

Delete the language files you don't want from the lang directory.

Morning drkestrel,

Or if you want easely go back, simply move your unwanted languages in a new directory. In expl : your-cpg/lang-out/ !

I deleted all language files except the spanish, but when the SERPs crawl my site they find an empty page beacuse there is not english file. How can i make my page visible only in spanish but for all the browsers, not only for those in spanish?

When deleting all language files but Spanish, search engine spiders should still crawl your site. What blank page do you refer to?

Mmm...I'm using Google Sitemaps, and when i deleted the english language file, Google doesn't read the sitemap i submitted and the code they gave me to validate my page, also the W3C validation service can't access to my page without the english file, because when i ask for the source code they returned me an empty page, of course all of this does't happen when i reupload the english file, my site is at http://crakup.cr.funpic.de (http://crakup.cr.funpic.de) ???
Thanks.

Sure, the sitemap has to be re-built. Expected behaviour.
