I use the exact option for the thumbs in the album, but would also like to have square thumbs on the category.. how can this be done?
I am using coppermine 1.4.9 Stramm modpack v2 with fix installed.
As of now, the category image displays with original dimensions..

Have you tried using the minithumbs?

Wel,, yes i have.. but the first try i got a "portrait" image... but after trying a few times (with different settings, this looks like it is solved now.. ) i will try more pictures later today to see it it is ok or not..

:) works as described in the docs
1. you tell Coppermine to create minithumbs
2. then use minithumbs for the category lead image
Mini thumbs (default off)
Config -> Files and thumbnails settings - Enable Mini Thumbs, Mini Thumb Width - Mini Thumb Height
They are used for the comment notification system, the avatars, the buddy list and, if you want they'll replace the category lead image with thumbs of a size you like. If you want to use the avatar you'll have to enable the mini thumbs to get the full functionality (if not then only user uploaded avatars will work, if enabled, users can pick one of their uploaded pics and make them their avatar). There's a lot of more you can do with them. Eg. replacing the normal thumbs in filmstrip with the mini thumbs (need theme modification). This way you can dispaly a huge bunch more without messing with your layout.....
