hey guys.. i dunno how to solve this but i recently enabled video uploading on my gallery and the thumb doesnt work properly.. when i checked it it was generating "thumb_**.wmv" as the url for the image url
how do i just make the thumb for videos be a static image?

Sami sent you to the right place.
It is a two step process that can be a bit time consuming.
Also note, for reasons I've not discovered (I don't recall this in the docs), that if you place your custom thumbs in your custom thumb album first, they don't show when you later add the movies to the movie album.
So I always add my movies first (via batch add), place them, then do another batch add and placement of the thumbs to their own album.

With the modpack you have a backend for uploading custom thumbs (you can upload images that get automatically resized, cropped, sharpened etc etc and tagged with a watermark)
