Title: cannot access albums
Post by: madd74 on September 19, 2006, 07:07:12 am
When I attempt to click any album or file, I get a 404 error because it is linking to somewhere that does not exsist.  For example, I click on M-Filez album, and it directs me to:

http://madd74.com/photo/thumbnails-7.html

I believe Stingray is the 7th album that I made, and each album I go attempts to go to http://madd74.com/photo/thumbnails-"X".html where X is the number of that album, and in doing so, I get a 404 error every time.  I started getting this when I clicked on Album List, where it would link to "http://madd74.com/photo/index-0.html" and some times instead of 0 it would be 5 if I was checking the permissions of another album.  The only thing I have really done is I edited the style.css in the /themes/ for the current theme I use, Digital Red.  I switched to another theme, logged out of admin, and still same problem.  Thanks in advance for your time, my site is:

You will need to disable the search engine friendly plugin.

The sample plugin doesn't do anything but display some innocent output. It's the SEF_url plugin that needs to be un-installed. You shouldn't have installed it in the first place if you have no idea what it is and who should use it. In fact (as with all modifications), take one step at a time, modifying only one thing. Then, test thoroughly if everything works as expected. If it doesn't, undo your changes.
You don't "destroy" plugins, you un-install (i.e. disable) them, that's all.

it was more of a joke regarding how many times I have seem references in the support forum, doing other various things.  I did not mean to install them, as it was not clear when I was looking at it that it was going to install.  since i just installed it, I was going through a lot of the info (like clicking on LOTS of ? circles).  I want to go through and figure out what everything does now, because coppermine has a lot of features and services I am not familiar with, and better to botch up the service now, as opposed to having to do a clean install way down the road!

I know you do not destroy them, as stated, it was an attempt at a joke.

I thank you for your time.
