For a few minutes this morning I could not remember my coppermine admin password. I finally tried a few different passwords I commonly use and was fortunately able to get in. At that point I made a point of actually writing it down in my system-admin notebook but it got me to thinking about what options there might be if I actually could not remember the admin password permanently. When this happened I used phpMyAdmin to browse the coppermine db users table to get the name of the admin user but the password field there is indeed encrypted so that was no help.
I looked through the various coppermine FAQs and regular web based documentation but I did not see any mention of possible solutions to this problem.
I imagine I am not the first person this has happened to so what is the common advice here when someone has this problem?

If you managed to find it in phpmyadmin then you can just set yourself a new one. It is an md5 hash.

OK, so that was enough of a hint that I was able to research using google.
Thanks

Use the board search before hitting google, this has been discussed in detail recently.
