Title: Can you add tabs on main page?

Ok I'm thinking the answer is no but it doesn't hurt to ask.

In my gallery my main page shows 'lastup' and is in 4 rows and 4 colums. Is it possible to have tabs like in the user galleries so that members can tab through all the pictures in the gallery?

Right now they have to go to each album to see the pictures.

Thank you for any help, even if is not something that can be done. Of course I'm asking if it can be done easily like by a switch, plug in, or a little bit of programming.

How do I get that as my starting page? and can I have the categories underneath it?

Click on 'Last uploads' on the main page. Have you not visited your site before?

I was just coming back to say I saw the button, and edit my post.

I do not feel your remark was called for. Yes I vist my site every day however I do not use those buttons.

Is there anyway to have those page tabs on the index page. I would like the page to look like it does now but with the tabs at the bottom.

I understand this may not be possible.

You could make that page your start page by changing your overall site's navigation and make the link that currently points to http://www.scrappinsecrets.com/gallery1/thumbnails.php?album=lastup&cat=0 instead of http://www.scrappinsecrets.com/gallery1/

Darn it I just plain give up. I tried very hard to word everything and be nice and I guess it doesn't matter.

In answer to all the comments.

NO THAT IS NOT WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR hence the reason for the post in the first place.

I want my page exactly like it is but I wanted page tabs on it. I don't want that  page to be my main page. I still need categories under the pages.

That was all I was asking was if I could have tabs on the main page like in the user gallery. Everything always gets turned around when I post here!!

Fine, if the answer you're looking for is "doesn't work", then here you go: what you're up to doesn't work, you can't add pagination to meta albums on the frontpage unless you code this feature yourself. I was trying to show you alternatives. Won't do this again. In the future, you can expect "yes"/"no" answers from me if you're so easily hurt or upset.

Just for the record I take no offense to you and even said I liked the page even though I should have seen it and noticed it too late.

It was mostly NIBBLER that I have a problem with as he is always rude in his comments.

I'm sorry if you thought I meant you I should have been more specfic when I answered.

Sorry to bring a alive an angry topic - but I would like to achieve something similar.
I"ve been sifting through the theme.inc to see how I could modify:

Section <<<theme_display_thumbnails>>>

 (yes! by copying it into my custom theme first! no modifying the core files!)

Anywho, but no joy so far.

Basically want to add pagination to my choice of meta album on the front page. That would be swell!

Nibbler/ joachim - i did consider your advice of simply changing the home page to a non meta album, but I worked quite hard to get that "top3" as a header.
Um.

If anyone could give me a nudge in the right direction that would be great.
