Title: permalink style URL referrences
Post by: KapHn8d on October 08, 2003, 02:03:31 am
instead of the intermediate image being at a URL looking like:

http://websitename/displayimage.php?album=topn&cat=0&pos=34

where the image is referenced by position in the album (which could change based on how the album is organized and when pics are added) it would be cool if the intermediate photo page had a URL based on the image name, so that you could link the intermediate photo page and that link would always take you to THAT photo instead of where that photo is positioned in the album pages...

just a thought, but that would rock.

AFAIK, this issue has been addressed in 1.2 or in the Usability Hacks.  Wait for 1.2   8)

Well, 1.2 has arrived and I can't find any mention of Permalinks in the documentation or on this bulletin board. Anyone have any pointers?

click "i" on a pic page (displayimage.php) - notice the "URL" field? That's the permanent link.
