Title: Multi langage ?
Post by: antisa33 on June 26, 2006, 08:15:44 pm
Hello
I have a problem... I love coppermine, but now i need to put my descriptions, titles of pictures, albums names etc... in english, french and spanish...
Do you know a mod to do that ? (When i fill the titles and description, i just would like to be able to add in other langages too)
If it doesn't exist, do you know an other very good php galery script with this fonctionality ?
Thank you very much
Isa

This would be a good plugin.  To properly define the task, you'd have to define exactly which fields need the multi-language support.  I don't think it would be that difficult.  If you have programming experience and need a hand with the Coppermine variables and hooks, you could start a support thread.

Oh, I don't know if any mods exist already.

Hello
I am not very good to program :-(
I tried the GALLERY php script, and with a module, it allows to add fields in differents langage, but i prefer coppermine  ;D
So may be, we can have a look on their php code to see how they do ?
Thanks

Yes maybe  :D

But do you know that :  "Il y a aussi un Forum Coppermine en Français (http://coppermine.sourceforge.net/board/index.php?board=38.0)"

There's little point in looking at the code of menalto gallery to re-use it with coppermine. As the source of menalto and coppermine differ, the plugin code of course will differ as well.
In the future, don't ask for support on a sub-board that is named "General discussion (no support!)". Instead, do as suggested in the sub-board description.
