Title: Thumbnails not displaying reliably
Post by: teddis on June 25, 2006, 07:32:14 am
I just installed CPG148 and everything is working beautifully except that thumbnails are not being displayed reliably in various album views. It's like the code isn't generating an <IMG> element for particular photos. It seems to behave randomly. I tried in various browsers and with different themes and get the same broken behavior. I checked the support group but did not immediately find anything that relates to this problem. It occured with an album I batched added from FTP image files as well as using the Windows XP web image upload module. The problem also occurs when trying to edit pictures in an album. Sometimes the thumbnail shows up on the left, and sometimes not. Again, seems random. Hope someone can help--this is a serious bug. I'm surprised no one has seen this before in the support group.

http://photos.tedcohn.com/thumbnails.php?album=7 exhibits the problem right now (11pm PST June 25) as anonymous user. I don't want to post the url for editing pictures (where this also happens) in admin mode for obvious reasons. But I could send you a temp url/login via email to you directly. Thanks.

all images showed up for me, even after disabling referer sending, which tends to be the culprit when some people can't see images. Do you use "security" software? Some of them will block images of certain dimensions or whatever. Disable the app if you are using one.
