Title: flash file uploader
Post by: RS232 on June 20, 2006, 06:26:45 pm
With flash 8 it is now possible to upload files.
You can find around Internet already few implementations of this feature, but they are still drafts and with very basic functionality.
Basically, you can open a flash file browser, choose which file(s) and upload, and sent them all in one go.
First time I've seen this I found it very very cool!

To see a working example, try the one on www.photo.net
(you need to have an account and try to upload files).

This could be a cool add-on without force users to have FTP access or use the win-xp publishing feature.
All you need to have on the client side is a flash player version 8 or higher.
