Title: 2 diffrent coppermine galleries mimicking each other
Post by: mona87 on June 20, 2006, 05:34:29 am
Hi,

I recently moved my gallery from one site to the other.  Everything worked fine after the move except that i noticed that whatever i did to the coppermine gallery on the second site, the same thing on the other site.    For example,  i uploaded some pics on the new one and on the old one the picture and the album showed up except that the pictures showd up as an empty box.  Or another example i created an album on the new one and it showed up on the old one.

I then thought that maybe if i deleted the first one that might somehow solve it.  But as soon as i deleted it the other gallery doesnt even show up and gave me a critical error.

I have a backup of the old site with the gallery that im reuploading, and im hoping that may bring it back.  But does anyone have any suggestions of what i can do?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hard to say without a link. Did you move webhosts or servers within a wbhost? Did you change domain names? Do you really care what happens to the first one (ie, do you intend to keep it)?

it appears that you have a database issue , you are using one database for both so when you create somthing it will show up on other.it will happen when you using same mysql server after moving.actualy you didn't move your server , you just change your domian on sheared hosting environment.
- you should create a database backup with your MySql admin client and then create new database (with new name) and the reastore your backup on it , then create new user and give that user full privileges and edit /include/config.inc.php of new gallery and enter proper data to it.
