Title: {PASSWORD} in registration emails
Post by: wuurp on March 27, 2006, 10:11:20 pm
For some of the languages, the registration email is sent with a phrase something like

Your password is: {PASSWORD}

and {PASSWORD} is just like that, the users password is not substituted. A number of people have been very confused by this, thinking their password has been set to PASSWORD. And it's confusing trying to explain this to them using worldlingo  :(

This occurs in the following languages in 1.4.4

basque.php, german.php, german_sie.php, japanese.php, russian.php, spanish.php

and more languages in earlier versions.

Make sure that you actuall have cpg1.4.4 language files, some of the surplus tokens have been removed, e.g. in german.php

oops, sorry.  :(

A search for "{PASSWORD}" found nothing. Maybe it didn't like the brackets.

And GauGau you're right. I had 1.4.3 language files.

-2 points for me.  :'(
