is it possible to create an account where the users wont be able to change the password but still can add comments/ratings??
but i dont want to give access without a password. so no annonymous guests.

do I understand this correctly: you want to create a generic user account that several users are meant to share? You mustn't!

yes. thats exactly what i want. would be nice if i dont need to create an account for every single user.
what do you mean by you must not??
thx bronchandes

the whole point of user management is that every registered visitor of your site (who has higher permissions than an unregistered guest) has a unique user id. The whole comment/upload/rating system is based on this, as well as in other applications. You don't have to create users - let your users register for themselves instead.
