Title: users disappeared from user admin screen! please help?
Post by: johnkimble on February 22, 2006, 08:26:09 am
Okay, everything was going fine and dandy and I thought I had everything under control with my site but suddenly it appears all the users were deleted.  They are not showing up on the 'users' section of the admin screen but when I try to login with them I can sign in it says "welcome _____" and then I click continue and I'm right back at the start page again being asked to login again.  I tried everything I could thing of and even searched the ftp to make sure the user account stilll existed and they do somewhere.  If someone can help or has any idea how to get my users to show back up in the admin-user section I'd appreciate it.  P.S. When I try to recreate a username that disappeared it says its already taken so the accounts are out there somewhere I just have to figure out where haha.

http://contrast.er1.be/ (http://contrast.er1.be/) is the url. if you need any other info holler at me i'll be checking back a lot and hoping that someone has experienced a similar problem or can offer some assistance.

update: the only member group that I added is also missing in action.

Hi,

I have exactly the same problem.

I run two albums on two different sites.

One is still working properly, the other one has the same problem.

In my case I have a message "Your browser doesn't accept cookies" (in fact it does)

I tried on a new PC ant the problems are the same.

Maybe a problem with the cookies script?

Btw, I tried with IE and Firefox

Thanks if you can help ;-)

what are we suppossed to do if you don't post a link to your site nor a screenshot of your user control panel except saying "I feel sorry for you"?

You are right ;-)

In fact I have posted elsewhere and it seems that I have a script problem in my
include/config.inc.php    file.

I have exactly the same problem, but I didn't see a fix for this problem posted.

My Coppermine installation (1.4.9) has been running fine for months.  However, I noticed recently that some of my users have disappeared from my Admin screen.  But when I try to add them back in, I am told that the username already exists.

Password: Temp

I don't know what good the above will do, as the accounts are missing from the Admin screen ..... but you probably have back doors into the Admin section  ;D).

Thanks.

Certainly not - it would defeat the whole point of open source.

Do you use smarty? If not, then you replied to the wrong thread.
