Title: error while creating a new user

hi,

I dont know if this is the good sub; it seems (i think) a permissions issue:

While logged on as "administrator" (on my own server) i get the error:

"There was an error while processing a database query "

What can be the issue?

(I can activate accounts, i can upload picures etc and the script itself makes thumbs)
"Admin activation of registrations " is put to yes.
"Allow new user registrations " is put to yes.

latest version of coppermine
WAMP
win2k3 server

Im really a mySQL newb so it might just be a generall SQL error (yes i will search there)
Edit: went into debug mode ( im starting to learn)

While executing query "INSERT INTO cpg143_users(user_regdate, user_active) VALUES (NOW(), 'YES')" on 0

It seems to be a mysql issue, same as http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=27554.0

I found the problem!!!

Its because a misconfigured .htacces file and a misconfigured .htpassw file in the phpmydamin directory.
After removing them it worked like it should

(i deinstalled the entire package i deleted the entire database and i reinstalled.
at first i got the errorr while installing: ......consider upgrading the mySQL client.

So i removed the file and did the install.
after that i placed the files in again and again i couldnot creat an user.

i removed the files again and then tried to create an user and it worked

i keep noobing on!

I don't see how files in phpmyadmin could cause this.

i very noobishly tried to create those files and copied them into the phpmyadmin dir.
(and obviously the files were not made properly, altho the function of the files work good....hiding some stuff from the htdocs root)

i keep noobing on...
