Title: Last Added Pictures on Main Page?

Hi,

Ive been searching for to create what i think its called, a gallery block.   I want on my main page, to have a small block that shows the last updated pictures on the front page.    For example on this fansite.   www.drewfan.com .

How do i go about creating that with my gallery?
