Title: Coppermine 1.4 feature query
Post by: GeoffLaw on January 14, 2006, 12:56:54 pm
I have done some reading but I still cannot work out if Coppermine does what I want. Searching forums is hard because sometimes you hit old entries and are not sure if Coppermine has been updated since then. Therefore could someone confirm if I can do the following please:

a) assign 1 photo to more than 1 album without having multiple copies of the file
b) assign an album as a child of more than one other album
c) manage user permissions with groups/roles so that read access can be given to 1 group of users and denied to another
d) assign view permissions to users/groups at the individual image level as well as the whole album
e) control what the public (no login) user can see
f) prevent the public user from seeing the login link

Thanks

Geoff

a) Yes - with the help of keywords
b) No
c) Yes (If you meant viewing photos)
d) Yes (Only on album level)
e) Yes
f) Yes (by modifying theme)

And since it is free you can always download and check it yourself whether it is meant for you or not. It won't harm you ;)
