Hi,
I've got an instance of gallery that is being used for a competition. I've been looking for a while but I can't find a way to give the entrants a permanent link for them to pimp-out to try and get more votes. I thought it was creating them, but then they changed when I uploaded more photos...
Does anyone know of a way to get a permalink?
Thanks in advance,
Tony B

It's in pic info. It looks like http://www.yoursite.com/coppermine/displayimage.php?pos=-123
-
So I just had to click all the way in? One more click and I would've been sorted...
Thanks :D

Actually, that's not quite what I want... ::)
That page has no ability to vote for the image, I would like to have the page that you can vote for the image be the same one that the permalink is pointing to.
Any ideas?
Thanks again,
Tony B

It's a link to a standard page. It makes no difference if you use that link or browse to it through an album.

That doesn't have the ability to vote on it...
I really need to be able to allow the viewers to vote the picture from a permalink.
Any ideas?
Cheers,

You mean like http://www.yoursite.com/coppermine/ratepic.php?pic=228&rate=5 ?
-
So, that rates it a 5?
I'd like http://haircrazy.biz/displayimage.php?album=1&pos=1 (http://this page) but with a permanent link to the photo...
I wouldn't want people automagically voting at 5 when they haven't even seen the photo.
Any more ideas?
Cheers,
TonyB

I can rate the pic when using both
http://haircrazy.biz/displayimage.php?album=1&pos=1
and
http://haircrazy.com/displayimage.php?pos=-10
You don't seem to actually be running standalone coppermine, which is the only version we support here.

Ah sorry, my bad...
So, how do I find out that pos=-10 relates to a particular picture, and can I just check that this won't change when I add more photos?
Cheers.

If you click the (i) above and left of the image, the "File information" area will display below the photo. There you have "URL" (e.g. http://haircrazy.com/displayimage.php?pos=-10). That is a "permalink". It won't change even if you move the image around, and even if you delete that image and add new ones, the new ones will never have the same id (number).

Cheers,
That's just what I needed.
Thanks loads.
