... is it possible? One of the sites I'm using cpg was hacked, and all photos & thumbs were deleted. The db is still there (comments, albums, categories etc.), and I uploaded again the photos from my hard disk. But there are no thumbs now... I cannot find anything in this support board, and I didn't find anything in cpg's actions.
The "util.php" can alter the size, only if these (thumbs) .jpgs exist... it doesn't work for my situation either. :cry:
(I think if there is no solution available, this could be a "future request").
Thanks...

curious, hacked from a cpg hole?
if the normal size pic has the name filename.jpg then you simply need to have a thumbnail with the name thumb_filename.jpg in the same folder as filename.jpg.
you can create thumbnails using various freeware programs and/or unix utilities.

If you are using IM, you can use a single command to the convert utility to make thumbnails of an entire copied directory of your photos. Add one more command (for Unix, at least - but I bet Windows can do it, too) to append the thumb_ designation to the all the files in the directory, and then just copy all the files into their respective Coppermine user directories.

@jason: we think not... they have just deleted all files under all directories from a photographic site.
@hyperion: we use GD library...
I would prefer not to do it locally... :(

... on a second thought, these were very good suggestions!
I used ACDSee for batch resize, and Oscar's Renamer to rename them.. I'm already uploading! :D :D
At least half of my problem is solved... the photos I had in my HD have now their thumbs. But only *my* photos... :?

do you know how? what is your server based on?
and you can easily donwload copies of the other photos from the server to your hard drive and then batch convert/rename them too.

hmm.. i would assume that if the thumbs were deleted, so were the originals..
