Title: Equal Sized Thumbnails?
Post by: Zeitgeist on December 18, 2005, 02:27:58 am
I've tried recreating my thumbnails (using both height, width, and max aspect) and each time they come out different shapes and sizes.

Is it a possibility to have them all an equal size? I know this might lead to some kind of quality loss; but they're thumbnails so it's not a big deal.

max aspect is as close as your going to get.

If you want the thumbs to be exactly the same size then you have to start with images that are all in the same orientation and of the same aspect ratio.

This would be a great feature. I know that ZenPhoto does this, as well as Flickr:

Those aren't thumbs of the whole picture, FYI.  They've cropped part of the image out to be able to produce the square thumbnails.

I supposed it could be hacked into CPG, but I think your on your own.
