Title: Upload batch file problems in IIS6
Post by: freddie99 on December 03, 2005, 06:18:29 pm
Hi you all.

Like everybody I have problems to upload to albums folder.

I create a foler called 2005, with 19 pictures in it. I create this folder with Windows Explorer not ftp.
The everbody group has full controll to the albums folder, is this correct.

I wonder about the 777 permissons, how do a set this in windows explorer with the build in accounts ?

When I created the folder before with Leethftp and change the permissons to 777, the logs is telling my:

502 Unknown site command

I wonder if you can set this permissons on the IIS6 ?

I also change the site to the stat of the this site.

But where can a see the error message, it just a config page that is showing.

Help my please.

from the docs (http://coppermine-gallery.net/demo/cpg14x/docs/index.htm#permissions):
Quote
You have to understand that there is no such thing as CHMOD on Windows operating systems - this command is available on Unix/Linux only, even if your FTP application displays a CHMOD option. If you try to apply CHMOD on Windows, the command will simply be ignored and do nothing. However, there are permissions on Windows as well.
You shouldn't run a webserver of your own if you have no idea about permissions though.

If you've followed the directions in the IIS page you've looked at then it should work - it does on mine :)

Hi again I used the no on the option "Browsable interface (recommended) " on the text below the list window, now it works. !!!! Very happy about that, thanks.
