Title: one picture in multiple albums
Post by: Vermeer on November 29, 2005, 09:00:12 am
Since 1.4.2, you can put pictures in multiple albums (documentation "4.8 Album properties"), BUT:
When i create an new album and i want to put images in it from other albums, i can't use an "Album Thumbnail" ("The album is empty") an the users do not expect pictures in this album because the album shows "0 Files". Of course, the pictures are shown in this album, but nobody knows that!
Any possibility to change that? So, it makes less sense...

That, I believe, is one of the listed  known issues.

I think you can add a thumbnail to that album, by first puttin a file into it.  Then assigning that file's thumbnail to the album.  Then move the file back out to where you want it to be.

If that doesn't work, just make sure you have at least one file in each album and link that file back to where you want it to display as well.

It's a pity, but this doesn't work

This thread includes a workaround, though not perfect: http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=17314.0
