Title: Upgrade to 1.3.5 or bust

I am wondering if I should upgrade to 1.3.5 or should I wait. I see that their is a version of 1.4.1, but it isn't stable as of yet. Also can pictures be resized meaning I can decrease the image to lets say 12MB to 3.5 KB or something like that?
