Title: Album and file count on Album List

Is there a way for the main category to show a count of albums and files for all its children and grandchildren?

I have attached an image to try and explain it better.

If this possible it would not be limited by the number of subcategories.

this has been requested before, but afaik nobody has come up with such a hack yet. I wouldn't recommend it anyway, since a lot of additional queries would be necessary to accomplish this, which would slow down the page considerably and eat up a lot of resources for little benefit.
