I am offering this tool that would be valuable to coppermine -gallery users. Because some people just upload large images and clause you al lot of bandwidth. Basically coppermine users can already do that with adding some hacks from the mods board

this tool lets you choose different levels of compression and not just let you do a batch compress which may harm the quality of some or all images
