Title: missing redirection: edit post (when flood control enabled)
Post by: hkj4h on October 16, 2005, 10:06:02 pm
Perhaps this is by design, but it's confusing from a user standpoint.
If flood control is enabled, or if "user can edit comments" is set to NO,
the error is displayed without a link/navigation provided for them to return to the calling page.

The page should at least include text advising the user to click their brower's Back button, or provide a scripted javascript back(-1) link, or something.

Edit post?  Are you talking about an issue with SMF (this forum)?

cpg 1.4.1

Scenario:

per admin.php }} Comment settings:
"Allow several consecutive comments on one file from the same user" == NO

user attempts to place another comment (displayimage.php)
and winds up reading (db_input.php)
Error
Sorry but you are already the author of the last comment posted for this file

Edit the comment you have posted if you want to modify it

The issue is the lack of navigation provided on the error page

not a real bug, but a good suggestion for future versions. Applying the needed change would mean that the language file would have to be changed. We can't do this for cpg1.4, so I'm moving this thread to apply the needed changes for cpg1.5.x
