Please post all php-nuke specific requests to this forum topic.
If your feature request involves coppermine itself and not the way that coppermine interacts with php-nuke please post to the forum here (http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/viewforum.php?f=7)
Our focus with CPG1.2-nuke will be to include all the new features of CPG1.2 and fixing any bugs from 1.1d, so your feature may not be included until the next version, but let us know what you'd like to see...

Perhaps you would like to consider some of this features for the future PHPNuke Port Release:
- Language autodetection that work the same way as other modules within PHPNuke.
I did something like this http://nukecops.com/postlite10500-.html that worked for me, but I think you know better way to do that.
- Themeing procedure like this http://nukecops.com/postitle10494-0-0.html that maybe could give us more choices of Theme for PHPNuke Port Version in the future.
- I also do a very simple hack that inserts category in page title http://batamweb.net/batam-user_galleries-6.html. album name in page title http://batamweb.net/batam-gallery_9.html, picture title or file name (if no title) in page title http://batamweb.net/batam-picture-random-13.html. It also titled the last upload, last comment, top rated, top viewed, search and upload page. It's nice to see your coppermine page titled properly.
Haven't finished it yet and really need your help on a few things.
I post it here beause this requests are specific to PHPNuke Port.
Or should I post it in the Feature request forum?

I would like to see a feature where the pictures could be sorted by their date uploaded, or the albums rather. So when you click on an album listing, it will show the thumb of the newest uploaded album first, and at the end will be the first uploaded album thumbnail, so users can view the latest album(s) with ease. The sort pictures by ascending and descending seems to only work within an album, the picture listing, not an album listing.
awesome photo album none the less :) Thanks again!

Found this at Nukecops
The block that comes with the newest version of Coppermine for random pictures does not ignore "private" albums. It pulls the data from the database where "approved = yes", but does not check if it's a private album or not. It will display all pictures.
This will be fixed in the new version

Any plan on implementing the $module_name thingy? Just in case somebody have a weird idea of having more than one gallery in their nukesite.
Or is there a good way on doing this?
-
The only thing I can think to request is a better "Nuke" theme for CPG...but I see gtroll is already working on it. :)
http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=203&highlight=nuke+theme
Hey gtroll, is the new "Nuke" theme going to pull images from the /PHP-Nuke/themes/ as well as formatting?
-
sengsara: I plan on having the nice_titles as a config option and I don't know why having more than on gallery will effect that... maybe you can give me a scenario...
outerverse: I may include some of the images and the text formating from nuke. Do you have a specific ideas where would you would want to include these?

I'm asking about the
modules/$module_name thing instead of
modules/coppermine so we don't have to do this it's what I did , changing all ../coppermine/.. in ../coppermine2/..
everytime...
About nice_titles, I don't think that will be affected.

Using $module_name makes sense.
To anybody trying use this code in a mod- any function that uses $module_name would need that global added of course...

gtroll:
HEH...I guess I could have been a little clearer in my last post.
What I'm refering to is if Nuke is using a theme lets say like the smartDark one I'm using (http://www.black-blade.net) which has gradients in the titles back grounds, have the SAME gradient back grounds in the CPGNuke titles.
http://www.black-blade.net/misc/image1.jpg (EXTREMELY compressed image)
In the image, I'm showing the Default theme simply becuase the Nuke theme doesn't have any clearly defined tables.
Well in a nutshell, I'm picturing how the intergrated phpBB shares it's look with Nuke (of course it still requires it's own resources like PostIcons & Topic Buttons).

Both myself and a friend were talking about this - but one great feature we think would "boost" our web galleries is the ability to also post AVI's or MPG files. I'm sure everyone here has digicam's that can record short 10-60sec. video clips - it would be handy if we could also somehow integrate this into CPG.
FYI - We did try to allow files of type AVI, MPG to be uploaded, but no luck.

This is a coppermine feature not a phpnuke related feature
-
At the development of CPG for phpNuke 1.2 i made following changes for all above requests.
- Coppermine is directory independant (You name the directory anything you want)
- Default theme is almost fully integrated with phpNuke theme and directory independant features. (mass changes)
Not using $module_name but:
$CPG_DIR = $name; // name of coppermine directory
$CPG_M_DIR = "modules/".$name; // Nuke path to coppermine directory
$CPG_URL = 'modules.php?name='.$name; // link to module pages
But...
All themes have to be edited to work with directory changes.
Soon the stuff is released in CVS and you can see a webpage soon with the made changes.

Will there be a zip module in it so users can download pictures as a zip archive?
