to set up users so that they can have their own personal album AND upload access to another album at the same time?

I need certain users to be able to upload to the Category = Layout Design and Critique Class / Album = Week 1 Layouts
I have created a seperate Group called CLASS but I can't figure out how to get their photos to upload there.
Any help would be totally appreciated!!

Yes, please read the manual. You need to set upload permissions in the groups page and in the album properties of the album.
