Title: XMB & Coppermine?

I'm an admin on an XMB community that is seeking to upgrade its site, and would like to have a gallery  installed. I've bridged Coppermine with a PhpBB and an Invision Board in the past, and was quite impressed by it. Is there any way possible that someone could make a bridge between an XMB board and Coppermine? I know that it's not currently compatible, but is there any specific reason for this, or has a bridge of this kind just not been tried yet?
 any help would be greatly appreciated.  :)

A bridge exists for the next version of Coppermine (1.4), but there is no available bridge for 1.3.
