Title: Can you disable users downloading?
Post by: xfwayne on August 08, 2005, 08:08:09 am
I'm wondering if you can disable users downloading your pictures, videos, etc. with Coppermine.

Thank you.

there are several methods discussed in various threads, but in must cases, the answer is: no, you can't keep visitors from downloading, you can just make it harder for newbies. If site visitors can view it in their browser, they can "steal" it as well. That's the way the www works. If you expected more than a generic answer, you shouldn't have posted in the "no support" sub-board ;).

As soon as a surfer's seeing the pic it's already on his computer... making it more difficult would be eg. disabling the RMB or making the image a table bg. Just do a search
