Title: Replace photo after established
Post by: SonicFreedom on July 19, 2005, 01:47:04 am
Hi.

Let's say a photo is established with many views, comments, and voting.
Let's say the file is huge and the user would like to replace the file
with a version of the same photo that is more compressed with a smaller file size.

Rather than deleting file, comments, voting, and uploading a new photo
it would be nice to replace the actual photo.

I searched to learn a way to do this and did not find. So I guess it's a potential feature yet.

At any rate, is there a way to do this...
even technically by editing certain Coppermine files?

Thanks, T

In 1.4 the admin can replace the file via FTP and tell Coppermine to re-read file data for that album. If you are after a mod to do this for 1.3, then please post on the support board.
