Title: Images Display problems
Post by: seanophobia on May 14, 2005, 10:31:24 pm
Im a newcomer to coppermine, but i love it already, installation and everything is going smooth, but im having 1 issue, that i cant figure out, i did a search on the board and tried a few things but still having same issue.
Some of my pictures arent displaying, like the thumbnails show, but the intermediate pictures (i think) arent showing. just giving me a box, with a red x in it,
Also And some pictures that are showing (intermediate i think) when i clicked the intermediate picture, it would display the full size photo, nothing happens! any help, or if someone could point me in right direction, would be greatly appreciated.
P.S.
Running Apache 2, php 5, and mysql on winxp pro server, with smtp mail server argosoft
also, using imagemagick, installed exactly as there installation tells to...
i just looked in debug mode, and it giving me this error as well
Undefined index: cat_thumb in c:\wamp\www\gallery\themes\classic\theme.php on line 1049

I'm going to guess this is your personal webserver on your home computer.  Usually when this happens it's because the server isn't configured properly.  ImageMagick on a Windows box can be hard to configure correctly.  Try using GD2 instead and see if you still have problems.

Ok, I am still having problem, when in debug mode i get this error Notice: Undefined index: cat_thumb in c:\www\gallery\themes\classic\theme.php on line 1049
I tried using other themes and i also switched to GD2 and enabled GD 2 in my php.ini and when i click on intermediate pictures, fullsize pictures only come up like 1/2 of the time, and help greatly appreciated

disable notices display in coppermine's config if notices don't mean anything to you. They're meant for developers only.

thanks for the speedy response  ;D, Personally, i dont care about the notice, i only posted it because i thought it might help with figuring out my problem, the problem is, about 50% of the time, on some days it works fine, some it dont work at all, when i click a intermediate picture, it doesnt bring up full size. i expierenced this problem again yesterday on many images, i had a friend try same images, and he was able to view fullsize that i couldnt, then i could view some fullsize that he couldnt, Any ideas on what the problem might be?

Sorry i didnt before, I host my site just for me and a few of my friends, i have it off alot, thats why i didnt post before, but i will leave on for a while
Anywayz, like i said, about 1/2 the time everything works fine, but some days, when clicking intermediate pictures for fullsize, it wont bring up fullsize
I just saw in other posts yall saying works fine for me, when they posted link to site, but even if it does work today for you, theres still a problem.  So if could give any info on what it might be, thanks, - Sean

this appears to be a matter of server setup. You have some "funny" settings in your theme as well (like absolute paths). Not sure what to recommend.
