Title: album list set up differently than category lists?
Post by: WickedElf on May 09, 2005, 08:03:35 am
Hello,

I was wondering if there was any way to make your "album list" look different than the "category lists"?

Specifically what I would like is for the album list to display the category names (1 level deep, no thumbnails), random pics and last additions.  Got that fine.

Problem is when you click on one of the categories.  If there are no subcategories... it is fine.  It displays the album thumbnails as desired.

But for one category I have sub-categories (parent category is "TV" and subcategory is "24" for example) and it makes it look like the "album list" just listing the categories (1 level deep, no thumbnails), random pics and last additions.  I would like it to either show the next level of subcategories (like 'season 1' and 'season 2') or show some of the albums there, like:
Sub-category 1:
 album | album | album
Sub-category 2:
 album | album | album

If I change it to show thumbnails on the album list, then I have to set it to something low like 3 albums displayed (to prevent it from looking too crowded), which is not practical for the rest of the site (as then when you click on the categories, it still only shows 3 albums per page).

Is there anyway to tell it to configure the 'category list' differently from the 'album list'?

Thanks!
