After reading a bit about how to incorporate a feature to show an image in multiple albums, here's what I thought.
How about an album which will display a keyword search. So in essence when you click the album name, a keyword search (using a predetermined key word or words) will show up the images.
Has this been discussed/done as mod yet? If not, do you have any ideas on how this could be accomplished? ???

I think this sounds similar to what I posted here http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=15783 in feature requests, so maybe you should add your post to that topic, saying what a good idea it is!

Well, I added some comments to your feature request, but I think I will still try to make a hack for cpg that will allow for this.
Not sure how sucessful I will be, but will try.
So any help would be appreciated.
I guess to start, I'm wondering how to identify in the database if an album is virtual or not. Would an extra column be enough, (where the keywords would be stored) or just add a flag column, and add another table which specifies the keywords...

this exists in the devel version, there will be no backport by the dev team as far as I can see.

You can preview keyworded album in v1.4 in my signature. The portfolio album is a "virtual" album that shows 0 actual files and x linked files. If you look at Search, it will show linked keywords so you can view albums that have those keywords.

I have the 1.4 beta, but I'm not sure how you create a 'virtual album'. Can anyone help?
Thanks

You create the album just like any other. Then in album properties enter the keyword you want the album to use.
For future reference, v 1.4 beta comes with no support. I replied since it's simple.

OK, I see it now, open your eyes Jeff!
Great, thanks.

That works rather elegantly. And it's exactly what I;ve been looking for.
I'll have to grab myself v1.4 and save myself the trouble of coding it myself.
Thanx guys!

Message understood about the support, but this was more a 'urrr how does it work' so I could check it out.
Thanks again
