Title: missing gallery description/name in some themes
Post by: Tranz on March 10, 2005, 12:10:29 am
I can understand if some of the theme authors omitted some elements for aesthetics. But from a user point of view, it would seem confusing to input something in Config and then it doesn't show up. Should we add the following missing elements?

Eyeball:
{GAL_DESCRIPTION}
{GAL_NAME}

Hardwired
{GAL_DESCRIPTION}

Rainy day
{GAL_DESCRIPTION}

If users don't want them, they can easily delete.

The gallery description missing isn't really a common complaint, though I have seen it at least once.

You are likely to get more complaints because things are "SHOWING UP" now where they hadn't before upgrade.

And where would you put it in eyeball?  Really no room for it anywhere. And if it were my tastes I'd even move the lang flags to the bottom.

I feel it was a decision by the theme author, it's not critical to the operations of the gallery (obviously if it were, there would be more complaints) and if somebody really really wants it they are free to add it.  Just my 2c..

OK, that's fine. :)

eyeball has been designed before the theme and lang selectors where available; it was me who added them later. I'm fine with moving the flags to the bottom, please go ahead.

Added the "missing" tokens to all themes - please review and confirm.
Moved flag section to bottom of eyeball theme.
