Title: Deleting older photos to keep your server space around...
Post by: Guvner on February 16, 2005, 08:25:13 am
It looks like there is no way to remove older photos from the server automatically. Is there any chance of that feature being added anytime soon if ever?  I think I tried deleting them via FTP and crashed it. I would bet some others would like this feature especially if it removed them after a certain amount of time being on the server. I sure wouldn't have a problem paying for that little feature over being an excellent free program like it is now. Any others out there think it would be worth paying this guy for some hard work?

Thanks... Guvner..

you mustn't delete files using your ftp app if they already exist in your coppermine database, it's mandatory that you use the coppermine user interface to do so!
However, a function in admin tools that is capable of deleting files based on the date they were added is a good idea and shouldn't be hard to accomplish, so your request is valid imo.

If so when do you think it might get out?

No idea. We haven't even released v 1.4 for production use yet.
