Post by: matteast on November 11, 2003, 02:00:25 am
I have now tried reinstalling Coppermine 1.2.

to see if i could get my albums to view again - however i still cannot create Categories - here is the method that i attempt:

1) Login as admin into PHPNuke 6.9

2)Click Categories button

3)Click Update/Create Category

and i get...

Sorry, such file doesn't exist...

Whats wrong - am i missing a file somewhere

The other problem i forgot to mention is that about Batch Adding of pictures.

Obviously if you have no albums created and you hit the Batch Add button you get an error - saying that you need atleast one album.

So then i go and click on Albums (this is while i am in admin mode but not logeed in as a user to coppermine) - I have to categories to choose from -
"My Gallery" and "No Category" - if select "My Gallery" then add an album there then go to Batch Add Pictire - it lets me in - however i cannot select that album that i have just created but i can see the pictures that i need to add to that album.

OK i have done what you guys have suggested - by renaming Coppermine to coppermine - and i can get the Catrgories function to work now.

Thankyou so much for that - you guys are awesome...

the next problem is (sorry - i must be the dumbest users you guys know) is that if i have deleted the images inside the album folder via FTP.

then i go to remove the album (i have now learnt you should just let coppermine do the album deletion) how do you get rid of the album - because when i attempt to delete it - it gives me errors saying that it cannot access that directory anymore...

cool - just did that as you must have replied - and the album is gone.

Another Question does the Batch Add Pictures - work inconsistently.

The reason i ask is becuase i attempt to upload 50 pictures via ftp to the directory - this works fine.

then i go to admin in coppermine - i then click on batch add pictures - then select directory -

its here where it gets a little weird - half the picture thumbnails appear the other half dont - i can right click on it and force them to show.

then select appropiate album.

then click add pictures to gallerie - i then get the little OK's - but only half of them show up - with the rest being red crosses (as in like broken image link)

i then view album and only half the pictures are there.

Any ideas???

these folder may need execute permissions to be able to open for writing try perms 777. Are you running apache on UNIX as a module or suexec/cgi?
