why do i keep getting this when i goto upload file i jsut started doing this ???:

You already got help, there have been several people who replied. My signature clearly says not to PM me - in fact you mustn't PM any supporter, requesting support. Your behaviour is very rude, review your attitude!
You broke nearly all rules: no subject in PM, silly subject in posting with capitalized letters (this means "shouting" on the internet, and nobody likes to be shouted at), not searching before posting and PMing supporters (only 3 minutes after posting) although your issue was already being taken care of, and finally posting on the "general discussion" board (the description of the board clearly says that you mustn't post support requests here, but on the proper support board that corresponds to your coppermine version).
This all shows how little respect you have for others >:(.

honeslty i wasn't yelling and i did pm when i reg to the forms ur the forum admin ur suppose to answer pm honestly thats why u make ur self a admin and also if so many ppl get the same error then why hasn't copper mine fix it..... ??? oh well

Also when being an admin one can set the rule for users not to PM them in case they need support. Not realistic either considering coppermine has probably thousands of users and imagine you being an admin here and allowing PM for support request you would get swamped in requests.

The whole idea of putting on a forum is that everyone can see the questions and answers. If you PM a supporter then nobody else will be able to see the discussion between you and supporter. In that case what will be the point of maintaining this forum?

The error you were getting was not a bug of coppermine at all. It is clearly mentioned in the documentation that you need to chmod the specified directories. So it is your responsibility to follow the instructions given in docs. We cannot change the permissions on your file system.

Instead of just posting "sorry" or not replying at all, you even reply with this silly remarks? A site admin is NOT the person you're suppossed to contact when looking for support. Being the site admin means I'm in charge of maintaining the bbs app here, nothing else. Everybody who knows how to run a bbs software could be the admin, while still not having an idea about coppermine. Your reply shows you're a moron - that's all. Sorry, I never called a user that before, but in your case, all other words don't seem to fit. ::)
