Ok somehow I posted in the wrong section (standalone support 1.2) so I apologize for the wrong post and I'm reposting here in the right section. :-\\ and hopefully explaining a little better while I'm at it
I want each person to have a private album that they can view only. No creating albums or uploading. I know I can do that, no problem. However, I want a second person to be able to access only the first person's private album and upload pics into it. I could do this by making the second person an admin but then they'd have access to everything, which I do NOT want.
Is there a way of making a 2 groups have access to person one's private album? Then I could put each person (1 & 2) into the 2 separate groups with different permissions.
OR.... maybe another group of admin, that has access to private albums but not the rest of the config stuff?
What I want to end up with is basically:
Private Album A =
Photographer A with upload permission
Viewer A only viewing
Private Album B =
Photographer B with upload permission
Viewer B only viewing
etc. etc.
Thanks!

access is based on groups, not users - the permissions should be set by groups. To solve this issue, create several groups, and make users who are supposed to have access to a particular album members of the group that gives them permission to access.
