Title: (newbie) cannot manage to stop anonymous user at all
Post by: zhangweiwu on January 12, 2005, 02:48:05 pm
I am a new user. To what I could know/guess, the correct way to set permission for Guest/anonymous of an album is to go to the album properties and modify the "permisssion" part.

Now this is what I did. I installed without error, created several albums, no error, integrate coppermine with a pure phpBB installation without error. Now, no matter how I adjust settings, anonymous user (it is Guest in phpBB) alway be able to view all the photos in all albums.

I tried to set everything to "NO" in album properties, and I go to "groups" in admin mode, set the Guest group everything "NO". Now, I logout and still can see all the images. What's the problem? Do I miss the point?

try this mod, http://coppermine.sourceforge.net/faq.php#registeredUsersOnly

Are you sure you set, 'can have private albums' in config to yes.

Thank you for the suggestion. I think this perhaps is already made its way to "Future Feature Request List", right? Better do it in a admin webpage rather than edit the code.

This already is in the devel code, so it will be in the next release... ;D
