Hi,
Is there any way to make it so when a user uploads a picture they can select two albums to put it in, one being a public album, the other being a user album? That way users can throw all their pictures of one type into a public album that everyone can sort through, or people can go to a users individual albums and see the pictures sorted into albums there as well.

Not in the current version, but it is in the next version.
The admin can create albums that get pictures based on a keyword, so when someone adds a pic, if they add the keyword to the pic info, it will also show in the keywords album.
So if someone uploads a picture of a honda shadow, and adds the keywords 'honda' 'shadow' and 'bikes', it will display in the honda album, the shadow album, and the bikes album, as well as the users album.

Great idea! ;D
Last time I thought about sth like this, but from the other side.
Example (with my english is easier for me to display the idea in this way):
Sbd (user) is the photographer, specialised in abstraction. In the past he was the member of 3 different artist groups (f.e. Club1, Club2, RainDogs ;) ).
In the gallery his photos are uploads in different albums/series (red_variations, simple_pics, Blue_dogs) - this is first kind of order/sort.
We can display all his photos (pics filtered by author profil) - second possibility.
Of course, we can find these photos in Abstract category...
I thought about sth like "virtual category" for clubs (other positions/topics) to find every pictures/albums filtered by topic - sbd try to find photos created by "RainDogs" and in effect the list of albums with such description is diplayed (in my example we have an album called Blue_dogs on the list ;) ).

Oooh, Casper...you're killing me! I need something almost exactly like what youve described. Argh! How long until 1.4 ?

Actually, what I need is a little more complicated than just a keword based album. I want to do a photo of the day (and month) system which would require a "virtual album" whose entries consist of the keyword (such as POTD) plus a timestamp.
As long as you're re-writing the album code, perhaps building in support for meta-keywords such as date/time would be do-able?
