Title: List comments from last visit only
Post by: e-m on December 05, 2004, 12:03:03 am
Well ... first of all ... please do not chop my head off if the answers are known ...
... I have read lot's of stuff here, and I have used search button to the degree that it allmost faded.  ;D

I have found answers to many of my problems, but I still have two:

1. I would like to see only comments, which are new from my last visit ... simmilar to forum behaviour

2. last comments, a thumbnail displayed only once  (http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=12263.0) - well ... I have the same problem

TIA!

we have a "one question per thread" policy on this board (you agreed to respect it when you signed up for your account) for valid reasons, so I'll only reply to your first question: such a feature (although it might be nice) currently doesn't exist, as coppermine doesn't keep a record what pics a user already has seen. Therefor, there's no easy hack to apply, but you'd have to come up with some complex coding that needs changes in the database structure and many coppermine core files. If you need this feature, you'll have to code it.

Thanks. At least I know now that it is not possible and I can stop searching ...  8)
It would be a very nice feature for one of the future version, anyhow ...

Regarding "one question per thread" ... well - I have not violated this, have I?
I've just mention, that I have the same problem ... The question is link to the real question  ;D

well, if you're requesting exactly the same thing someone else already has, why did you start a new thread and refer to the old thread in it instead of just replying to the existing thread?
