Title: Looking for paid help to add password protection
Post by: djyeo on September 27, 2004, 01:50:54 am
Hi,
I need to add password protect features to the user albums. Basically to allow album owner to specify a password to his/her album, so their friends can see the album contents by just entering the password without the need to register. Right now, when user make an album private, only the owner can see the contents unless they give their own member password to their friends. I already have 300 members and over 3000 pictures and I need to integrate this so it can work with the existing members' albums. Rate is negotiable.

This already has been done and committed to the CVS - so the only thing the freelancer has to do is do a CVS check out and install the latest version (all discalimers with regards to CVS versions applied) ;)

Please read http://sourceforge.net/cvs/?group_id=89658 to learn about CVS, or Google it.  It may be better to wait until Coppermine 1.4 comes out (release date unknown) rather than use CVS, because the code in CVS is UNSUPPORTED.  You will not receive any support on any question you may have if you install it.

Do you have any mods added to your gallery, and what theme are you running?

Casper is right without mods it is a simple as downloading the latest files using CVS and uploading them to your server. I can advise you to use wincvs (when using a windows system) that is the easiest way to connect on a windows patform. Just follow the instructions on the sourceforge page and after a few minutes you will be saving your self $40,- ;)
