Title: Top Menu Icons Missing after Importing Backup Database

I have recently updated my gallery from 1.4.10 to the latest 1.5.24 and am experiencing quite a few problems.
I installed a fresh version of 1.5.24 which works perfectly with a fresh database. But when I import my old database from the 1.4.10 version there is a problem with the top menu icons not displaying.

If I drop the 1.4 backup database and import the 1.5 fresh database all the menu icons are working again.

Please could someone offer advice why this is happening?

Not sure what you mean by "importing database". The correct method is outlined in the docs being sure to run update.php at the end as that will adjust the 1.4.x db to work with 1.5.x

Didnt realise that version 1.5 had an option to display menu icons on/off
