Title: 1.3.3 to 1.4.5 :: Problem for login and for thumbnails
Post by: Duerre76 on May 10, 2006, 12:56:44 pm
Hello!

I have on my website two coppermine gallery that i try to update!
But each time i have a problem!
For the first gallery, i updated exactly like the tutorials tells but each time i have a problem, when i try to login, i have a blank page, the same when i try to go to the thumbnails page of one of albums!!!!
For the second one, i tried something else, i completely delete my old version (except the albums directories), and i reinstall with the version 1.4.5, then with phpmyadmin, i delete the albums, categories and pictures mysql tables and put the older one! When i go to this gallery, everything is working except that i can't access the thumbnails of the albums (it says "error of request")!!
I would like to know if one of you know what to do for those galleries to work!! If i have only one solution of those two problems it would be perfect, because i will apply this solution to the two galleries!

Thank you by advance!
Sorry for my poor english, I am french :-D

don't mess with the db. You can install a new coppermine, copy the albums folder into it and the modify include/config.inc.php (db settings -> use your old 1.3 db here)
now run update.php

for the 'blank page' problem try a search. It's still recommended to exactly follow the instructions.
Always post a link to your site. Enable debug mode (if you can't access the site use a tool like phpmyadmin -> edit coppermine's config table, set 'debug_mode' to '1'.)
